Racing Bulls: Alan Permane to Remain as Team Principal
The five-season extension keeps Permane in charge as Racing Bulls chases its best-ever constructors finish and finalizes its 2027 driver lineup.
Racing Bulls announced that team principal Alan Permane signed a new contract, retaining his leadership role with the Red Bull-owned Formula One squad until the end of 2031.
Permane, who brings 34 years of Formula One experience, joined the team in 2024 as racing director before stepping into his current role when Laurent Mekies moved to Red Bull last year.
Under his leadership, the team secured a podium at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix with Isack Hadjar and currently sits fifth in the Constructors' Championship, marking its best-ever performance.
While Permane secured his position, Racing Bulls has yet to finalize its driver lineup for 2027, with Liam Lawson, Arvid Lindblad, and Nikola Tsolov competing for two seats.
Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff praised Permane's "clarity, composure, and a deep understanding" of the sport, noting the extension provides stability for the team's long-term ambitions.
