A delegation from the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States, including Iran's chief rabbi, met Qatar's Emir in Doha to offer condolences following the death of his predecessor.

Following a meeting with Qatar's emir, Rabbi Mendy Chitrik of the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States said the delegation felt warmly welcomed and called for greater dialogue to strengthen Muslim-Jewish relations.
