QB Tyson Bagent Expected to Start Against Packers Sunday, Bears Coach Ben Johnson Tells ESPN1000
Johnson said Bagent will start after he completed 25 of 34 passes for 268 yards in a win over the Jets.
- On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 31-7 at Lambeau Field, with linebacker Zaire Franklin criticizing Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III following the dominant victory.
- Burden told reporters last Monday that the Bears wanted to 'beat them real bad and make them quit,' sparking the tension Franklin addressed after the Packers' dominant performance.
- Without starting quarterback Caleb Williams for a third consecutive game, the Bears managed only 246 total yards and committed four turnovers, while Franklin registered nine tackles on defense.
- Franklin claimed Burden "quit" during the game and "has never done anything in the league," while Packers receiver Christian Watson said the team "definitely flipped that on their head."
- Both teams sit at 3-2 in the NFC North, trailing the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings by two games, with their rematch scheduled for Christmas Day in Chicago.
