The victim's son, 15 years old, "would have thrown himself from the bridge of Ceret, where he was taken care of by the rescue," said the public prosecutor on Monday, without making any connection between the two events for the time being.
The events took place in the commune of Céret, near Perpignan. The victim is "dead with a plurality of stab wounds", writes the prosecutor of Perpignan Jérôme Bourrier.
On Monday, September 21, 2026, the Dragon 66 intervened in Ceret (Pyrénées-Orientales) to rescue a teenager who had just thrown himself off a bridge. His mother was found dead.
