Purcell Scholarship Established at FCCF

Roger Purcell. (File Photo) (Brookville, IN) – The Franklin County Community Foundation has established the Roger Purcell Memorial Scholarship Endowment. It was created by Ruth Purcell in memory of her son Roger, whose body was found and identified in June, nearly two years after he was reported missing. Roger Purcell coached youth basketball in the area for more than 18 years. He also volunteered as a Little League baseball umpire. The annual scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Franklin County High School senior who participated in the Wildcat basketball program.
