In a non-binding determination letter issued last Friday in response to a Request for Review filed by the Washington County News, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Public Access Bureau indicated that the Washington County Board’s public comment period is supposed to take place earlier in the meeting prior to discussion of any board business per the County Code.
