The return to Piazza D. João I was approved this Wednesday evening, in a popular assembly with about 300 people
The popular assembly that takes place today in Piazza D. João I, in Porto, voted to return to camp in the place, where since 10 October protesters have claimed the right to housing and were subjected to two police charges.
Once again without tents, but with a desire to stay overnight in Piazza D. João I, protesters joined the assembly. Porto received two protests focused on housing and heard more criticism of the PSP.
In the popular assembly, those involved in the vote unanimously approved the permanence and resistance in the square and also the creation of a newspaper, in digital format and paper.
Protest for the right to housing has already been the target of two police charges that have caused dozens of injuries. Pedro Duarte withdraws the word "implacable", but defends PSP action.
About 300 people are gathered in Porto.
