Four Clubs 'Target' JJ Gabriel Transfer as Man United Exit Fear Emerges
United are weighing whether to block the 15-year-old forward’s exit as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich monitor him.
Manchester United prodigy JJ Gabriel has requested to cancel his registration at the club, seeking a departure from Old Trafford. The 15-year-old forward is currently pursuing release from his contract, though the club has yet to accept the request.
Gabriel's frustration reportedly stems from his omission from United's Champions League squad, which prevented him from featuring in last week's victory over Sabah. The youngster had previously appeared to have a clear pathway into the first team.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich are targeting the teenager, according to The Athletic. Gabriel netted 26 goals in 29 appearances for the U18 side last season and possesses an Irish passport, potentially facilitating a European move.
Under Premier League rules, registration can only be cancelled if the club, player, and parent agree. If parties disagree, any involved person can request the Premier League to provide a binding decision on a termination request.
United remain in discussions with Gabriel as he approaches his 16th birthday next month. While English players must wait until 18 to move abroad, Gabriel's European passport could allow a transfer once he turns 16, subject to FIFA approval.
Young Messi, also known as JJ Gabriel, wants to leave Manchester United. Real Madrid is also monitoring the situation of the 15-year-old talent who has captured Europe's attention.
