Provincial grant funds new Ken Nichol furnaces

The City of Beaumont recently replaced eight furnaces at the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre (KNRRC). The new furnaces are high-efficiency units that will, “improve comfort, save energy and reduce emissions,” the city said. The project was supported and funded in part from the Government of Alberta’s Community Energy Conservation Program, through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre.
