(WLNE) — A firefighter was injured while battling a fire in Providence on Friday.The Providence Fire Department responded at about 9 a.m. to calls of smoke showing from a home on Benefit Street.The homeowners weren’t home at the time of the fire, the department said.The firefighter was taken to the hospital with a minor shoulder injury.
