Prosecuting attorney: WV couple charged with child abuse investigated in Washington

A Sissonville couple charged with several counts of child abuse was previously investigated by Washington state agencies before moving to West Virginia, according to court records filed by the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney’s office. Jeanne Kay Whitefeather, 62, and Donald Ray Lantz, 61, were arrested in October 2023 after two of their five adopted children were found locked in an outbuilding at their Sissonville property on Cheyenne Lane.
