HANNIBAL – Voters in Marion and Ralls Counties overwhelmingly turned back a proposed tax that would have provided funding for a U.S. 61 bypass around Hannibal. Tuesday’s vote saw more than two-thirds of voters defeat Proposition 61 with 5,465 “no” votes cast compared to 2,620 “yes” votes.
