The billion-dollar Fehmarnbelt crossing between Germany and Denmark is considered one of the largest construction projects in Europe. However, the timetable threatens to fail.
Construction of the tunnel between the German island of Fehmarn and the Danish island of Lolland has been delayed again, the project developer reports. The multi-billion euro project was supposed to be completed in 2029, but the developer no longer expects to meet that deadline.
