- Last year, the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents revised rules barring classes from advocating race or gender ideology without a campus president's approval, and professors submitted core-curriculum syllabi for review in December using A.I. software.
- Peterson had selected passages from Plato's Symposium, including Aristophanes's 'Myth of the Androgyne' discussing three kinds of human beings, and Diotima's ladder of love.
- Peterson said the policy censors professors and limits academic freedom, replacing Plato passages with lectures after administrators' requests, with at least 200 courses flagged before January 12.
