"Germany won't pay this, there's no point in hoping that they'll ever approach a trillion euros in reparations. It's unrealistic, they can't afford it," said Professor Antoni Dudek, referring to the reparations demands that Poland presented to Germany under the PiS government. In an interview with Onet, the historian argued that historical policy should be pursued through persuasion, not through demands.
Professor Antoni Dudek assessed that Jarosław Kaczyński's idea regarding reparations "wasn't stupid." However, the historian noted that the PiS leader "hasn't achieved anything with such a policy."
