Prince William reveals love of pubs
On Wednesday, November 11, Prince William will release a 300-page commemorative issue of Country Life magazine, featuring the royal as its cover star sharing personal insights into his public role and rural life.
Mark Hedges, Country Life editor-in-chief, and managing editor Paula Minchin met William last month at Windsor to review the draft, layout, and proofs for the upcoming edition.
Highlighting his rural interests, William declared, "We need to protect our pubs," while discussing his preference for cider and his stewardship of the 128,000-acre Duchy of Cornwall estate.
Continuing a family tradition, the King, Queen Camilla, and the Princess Royal have all previously guest-edited the magazine, with Queen Camilla's 2022 edition marking her 75th birthday as the biggest-selling issue ever.
Kensington Palace stated the guest editorship reflects a desire to celebrate innovative stewardship and the vital role the countryside plays in the nation's wellbeing for generations to come.
Prince William spent six months working on a special issue of Country Life magazine, where the heir to the British throne shares rarely heard details about his private life and habits.
