Prince George set for first day at Eton College
The 13-year-old will board at the elite school for five years, where annual fees are about £65,000, officials said.
On Tuesday, Prince George arrived at Eton College for his first day, accompanied by parents Prince William and Kate to the Berkshire institution.
George follows his father, Prince William, and uncle, the Duke of Sussex, to Eton; William broke from royal tradition when he enrolled on September 06, 1995.
Prince William's umbrella turned inside out during the walk across the historic quadrangle, causing him to abandon it in the heavy downpour and prompting Prince George to giggle.
Tatler's education editor, Tori Cadogan, explained the Waleses will love that the college is only 15 minutes away from home, allowing them to "pop in whenever they are needed."
Students at Eton College are expected to wear "school dress," a traditional uniform standardized in the 1960s, while the school recently opened the Coleman indoor sports centre with eight squash courts.
