Primark Slashes Prices for Bradford Shoppers
The retailer says the lower prices will cover bestselling womenswear, menswear and childrenswear lines as it adds clearer signage and new season styles.
On Monday, Primark announced price cuts of up to 29% across hundreds of bestselling womenswear, menswear, and kidswear products, launching the reductions across 19 markets today.
Earlier this month, Primark reported a 2.2% fall in like-for-like sales, highlighting 'a challenging consumer environment' and prompting the company to increase investment in sales growth initiatives.
New prices branded as 'Iconic Value' include velvet plush leggings at £6 and cotton-rich leisure tops from £5, featuring improvements to style and durability across ranges.
Chief Customer Officer Matt Houston said, 'Value matters to customers today more than ever,' emphasizing the company combines lower prices with investments in quality and fit.
Associated British Foods confirmed in April it would spin off Primark from its food businesses before the end of 2027, with current cuts aiming to improve trading ahead of the demerger.
