Ghanaian President Mahama rejected a US-proposed health agreement due to conditions regarding data sharing and drug control. Mahama stated that the Cabinet had rejected the agreement and instructed the Health Minister to inform the US Ambassador that they would not accept it.
Ghana has chosen not to follow up on a new health agreement proposed by the United States to replace some of the funding previously provided under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
