President Karol Nawrocki has referred the law on the tax on extraordinary profits of fuel companies to the Constitutional Tribunal as a preventive measure. According to the head of state, the law violates the principle that law should not be retroactive and serves solely to patch up the budget. President Nawrocki has blocked another PLN 4 billion from the budget, commented Finance Minister Andrzej Domański.
