President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in an interview with Qatar-based Al Jazeera, expressed his disappointment with US President Donald Trump's promise regarding the delivery of F-35 fighter jets. Emphasizing that no concrete steps have been taken despite the time that has passed, Erdoğan criticized Washington.
In an interview with Qatari media, AKP President Erdoğan made statements regarding Syria, Gaza, Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz, Turkey-EU relations, and F-35 fighter jets. Erdoğan stated that he had received a promise from US President Donald Trump regarding the F-35s, adding, "I expect him to keep his promise."
He stressed that the Agreement provides that the states participating in it will take joint actions in the event that one of them is attacked from outside.
Erdoğan said he expects Trump to fulfill his promise regarding the F-35s. The President also stated that it is possible for Egypt to join the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
