In the absence of a left-wing primary for 2027, the Greens chose to postpone the definition of their presidential strategy at the end of the year.
While maintaining the presidential candidacy of Marine Tondelier until the December vote, the party leadership wants to mandate negotiating teams with the other left-wing forces to define "a shared project", a government contract and legislative alliances.
The Les Écologists party will submit in December to its members the decision whether or not to maintain the autonomous candidacy of Marine Tondelier in the presidential election.
It is not yet known what the green activists will have to decide on, everything will depend on the discussions the party hopes to have with its potential partners. For the left wing, it is far too late.
