The Canadian battery recycler Li-Cycle has filed for insolvency. The company also operates a facility in Magdeburg, but operations there will continue, at least for the time being. As the portal Energyload reports, Li-Cycle has filed for creditor protection under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Similar applications have also been filed for its US sites.
