Bavaria: Numerous Possible Bear Sightings Reported

Two years ago a bear walked through the Hinterstein valley in the Allgäu and caused excitement. Since then there has been no officially confirmed sighting in Bavaria - but many clues.

Bear records and sightings have been increasing in Lower Engadine for several weeks. Grison authorities do not exclude the presence of a second plantigrade in the area, in addition to that observed in mid-May.

Since the end of April, the traces and sightings of a bear have been increasing in the Lower Engadine. Arno Puorger from the Bündner Amt für Jagd und Fischerschaft regards it as possible that even two animals are on the way to Keystone-SDA.
