In the holdings of the Styrian State Archives in Graz, a work has now been examined in detail, which could be a “new” piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The “Milanese Variations” are mentioned in the Köchel catalogue, the catalogue raisonné of Mozart's compositions, but they do not have a number because they were considered “unmozartic.” However, the German scientist Carsten Wollin now attributed the work to Mozart.
