Port Arthur woman dies in early morning apartment fire

A Port Arthur woman is dead after a fire tore through an apartment complex early Sunday morning, according to Port Arthur Fire Department. The fire department arrived on scene at 6:45 a.m. on the corner of Gulfway Drive and Lake Charles to the sight of fire coming from of the apartment units.  The victim has been identified as Dorris Barriere, 61, according to Port Arthur Fire Chief Antonio Mitchell.
