Porsche to recall over 173,000 US vehicles over rearview camera image issue
Porsche will update software for 173,538 vehicles due to a rearview camera display issue that may affect compliance with federal safety standards, the NHTSA said.
- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. recalled 173,538 U.S. vehicles on Dec. 19, filing the action with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration .
- NHTSA reported that transient signal noise between the driver assistance control unit and rearview camera system can interrupt the video signal, causing noncompliance with a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.
- Affected models include 2020-2025 Porsche Taycan and 2019-2025 Porsche Cayenne .
- Letters informing Porsche vehicle owners are expected to be mailed by Feb. 16, 2026, and Porsche dealerships will update the driver assistance system control unit software free of charge if necessary.
