Popular channel shuts down for good after 13 years in newest TV guide shake-up
Sky has moved TNT Sports viewers to HD channels as it continues a gradual switch from standard definition broadcasts, officials said.
Sky shut down the Standard Definition broadcast for TNT Sports on July 1, ending 13 years of service to subscribers across all Sky boxes.
The broadcaster continues its gradual transition to High Definition as part of standard service upgrades, directing viewers to find equivalent channels on 410, 411, 413, and 414.
Alongside these changes, the latest Freeview update includes Wedotv's name change, moves for Ketchup Too and Cartoon Classics, and Times Radio's arrival on satellite channel 0142.
Freeview stated that "channels continue to evolve" as providers manage their lineups, while customers needing assistance can retune via their remote control Menu.
This shift follows recent closures including a London channel removal from Sky listings and the Crime and Justice channel, which featured shows like Highway Cops and Darkest Taboos.
