Pope Leo XIV has named as the new Apostolic Nuncio in Spain Piero Pioppo, titular archbishop of Torcello and, to date, Apostolic Nuncio in Indonesia and to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The appointment was made public this Monday, being communicated by the Apostolic Nunciature to the Spanish Episcopal Conference (EEC).
