Poll: Independents sour on country's direction before midterms
Independents and women are among the most dissatisfied, and inflation remains voters’ top concern, according to the Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll.

- Political scientist Alan Abramowitz of Emory University suggested the gender gap might be an anomaly rather than a lasting trend; The White House did not respond to requests for comment on the poll's findings.
