Police: Vehicle hits a utility pole in Johnston

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- Johnston police are investigating after a vehicle hit a utility pole Sunday afternoon. Police Chief Mark Vieira said the crash happened in the area of Hartford Avenue near I-295 around 4:30 p.m. The vehicle was driving westbound when it veered off the road and struck the pole, according to Vieira.
