Lambton OPP officials say there is an increased police presence on Walpole Island. In an advisory posted on social media on January 1, 2025 at 1:03 p.m. Lambton OPP officials said there is an increased police presence on Squirrel Island Road and Sandys Trail on due to an ongoing investigation. “The public is advised to avoid the area,” police added. “There is no threat to public safety.” We’ll provide more details when they become available.
