Dashcam Video Shows Beaverton Road Rage Suspect Chasing Couple, Driving in Reverse for over a Mile
Police say 29-year-old Arman K. Hastings was arrested after a road rage chase that included oncoming traffic, reverse driving and a frantic 911 call.
- On Sunday, a 29-year-old Arman K. Hastings allegedly chased a couple through Beaverton, Oregon, in a road rage incident that forced the victims to flee to the Beaverton Police Department.
- Dashcam and rear-facing video captured Hastings swerving into oncoming traffic to cut off the victims and, at one point, pursuing them while driving his vehicle in reverse.
- During the couple's frantic 911 call, the driver said, "Hi, I have a disturbance that someone's following me," while telling dispatchers he feared for his life as Hastings reached toward his coat.
- Officers arrested Hastings at the Beaverton Police Department and discovered a black airsoft handgun in his jacket pocket during the arrest. He was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of reckless driving and menacing.
- Beaverton Police released portions of the footage on their Instagram page to highlight the dangers of aggressive driving and are asking anyone with information regarding similar encounters involving Hastings to contact them.
