A man kidnapped over a missing shipment of more than 500 kilos of cocaine has been rescued by police. Footage posted by Spain’s Ministry of Interior on Thursday (27 August) shows two men handcuffed on the ground before being taken away by officers. According to the Ministry, the man had been kidnapped over an alleged debt linked to drug trafficking and had been held for 10 days following a dispute over the lost shipment.
During the captivity, the victim suffered repeated beatings and threats with the aim of getting him to disclose information.
To avoid arrest, the kidnapper tried to ram the officers and attempted to brandish a pistol he had concealed in his fanny pack.
