Police arrest Aroostook man who allegedly threatened people with a hammer

Madawaska police have arrested a man who was reported to be threatening his neighbors with a hammer. Jacob Brewer, 46, of Madawaska was arrested Tuesday night on charges of criminal threatening, disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest, Police Chief Jamie Pelletier said in a release. Police were called to 11th Avenue the night of June 23, where they found Brewer. He resisted officers’ attempts to take him into custody, Pelletier said.…
