Police say the suspect faces 11 attempted-murder counts as investigators continue to seek additional arrests and evidence from witnesses.

  • On Sunday, Oct. 25, the Tallahassee Police Department arrested 15-year-old Anthony Rivers III in connection with the mass shooting that occurred Saturday near Bragg Memorial Stadium.
  • The shooting happened Saturday night during homecoming celebrations for Florida A&M University, where "Preliminary findings indicate a physical altercation occurred before shots were fired," TPD said.
  • At least 12 people were injured, including 11 who sustained gunshot wounds, according to Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell. Six of the victims were children, including one 11-year-old.
  • Rivers faces 11 counts of attempted homicide and one count of possession of a firearm by a delinquent. Authorities stated additional arrests are possible as the investigation remains active.
  • Detectives continue to review digital evidence and tips from the public, which TPD said have been vital to investigative efforts in establishing the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
