The French police hung up the wives on Tuesday in protest at the lack of means in the body and low wages. Thousands of officers marched through the Champs-Elysées of Paris from the early morning until reaching the doors of the National Assembly to demonstrate to the political class "their anger" and denounce a "general attack on a government that despises them", according to the Alianza union.
