It has snowed a lot in Akureyri in recent days, and the snowplows have had plenty to do. Finnur Aðalbjörnsson, who has been shoveling for the town for 16 years, says it's not something you learn in a day. "It's always fun, otherwise you wouldn't be doing it if it was miserable." He says he starts shoveling around four when the snow is heavy. "In 2017, we went 17 nights in a row at 3 or 4."
