My CES 2026 Secret Weapon? This New Wearable AI Note-Taking Pin From Plaud
Plaud released the NotePin S wearable and Plaud Desktop app to enhance AI meeting notes with features like 9-foot audio range and 300 free transcription minutes monthly.
At CES 2026, Plaud announced the NotePin S wearable and Plaud Desktop, both available immediately for $179, ahead of the event in Las Vegas.
To address earlier complaints, Plaud replaced the criticized squeeze-to-record with a recessed button and long-press activation, while NotePin S uses dual MEMS microphones tested to around 9.8 feet.
The NotePin S weighs 17.4g, offers 64GB onboard storage and about 20 hours continuous recording, and includes a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, wristband plus 300 minutes of transcription per month.
With more than 1.5 million devices sold, Plaud aims to compete with Otter.ai, Granola, Fathom, and Fireflies, targeting professionals and students.
The Plaud app keeps multimodal note-taking—images and typed notes—alongside transcripts, offers a free starter plan, and users can order the NotePin S from Plaud website and Amazon with Apple Find My support; Plaud says users must obtain consent before recording.
