PKP Intercity continues to break its own records, but there's a fly in the ointment: the planned renovation of WarszawaWschodnia station, which could make life more difficult for both the carrier and passengers.
PKP Intercity will increase the number of connections starting in December. The carrier will operate approximately 600 connections daily, nearly 70 more than currently. The company also wants trains on key routes to depart at regular intervals, for example, every hour.
PKP Intercity showed what their storied lineups will look like. They will be largely silver, and many of their components will come from Polish suppliers. The lineups will hit the tracks in 2029 and replace part of Pendolino.
Under the new timetable, which will come into effect in December, PKP Intercity will offer more connections – approximately 600 per day, instead of the current 530 – explains PKP Intercity CEO Janusz Malinowski. He also points out that the carrier aims to have trains to various destinations depart in cycles, for example, every hour.
