Unity should not mean expelling Mateusz Morawiecki from the party, Daniel Obajtek said on Tuesday evening, asking that "his declarations not be used to further quarrel within the party." The MEP previously reportedly declared that he remains a member of the Law and Justice party (PiS) and will not be a member of the Development Plus Association.
Failure to declare withdrawal from the associations will be tantamount to resigning from membership in the Law and Justice party and parliamentary club, Rafał Bochenek announced. Thursday's deadline is final, and the consequences of its expiry are irreversible, the Law and Justice spokesman said.
Rafał Bochenek revealed who declared loyalty to PiS in connection with the dispute over Mateusz Morawiecki's "Rozwój Plus" association.
PiS members must sign declarations banning them from politically charged associations. The Law and Justice spokesman announced that the first individuals have already submitted such declarations.
