Pine Island boys land third in state True Team track and field meet

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Pine Island finished third and Stewartville fourth on Saturday in the Class 2A boys True Team track and field meet. Belle Plaine won the meet with 582 points. Orono was second (550). Winona was seventh. Stewartville’s Thomas Lofgren won the shot put with a throw of 55 feet. Lofgren was second to Orono’s Nicolas Pasulka (160-7) in the discus.
