My Chemical Romance Release Short Film Prelude to The End Featuring Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers
The animated short features voice roles from Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Hideo Kojima and John C. McGinley.
My Chemical Romance and Artist Lauren Tsai released an animated short film titled "Prelude to The End", marking the 20th-anniversary celebration of the band's landmark album The Black Parade.
Drawing on her stop-motion series The Dying World, Tsai collaborated with the band to fuse her visual universe with "The End", the opening track from their 2006 album.
Voice cameos include Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Hideo Kojima, and John McGinley, following a student named Astrid who enters a realm of forgotten ideas after her sketchbook is discarded.
"Prelude to The End" screens at the final two performances of "The Black Parade Tour", scheduled for October 30 and 31 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Following the Los Angeles residency, the band will continue their concert series in Asia, beginning November 7 in South Korea.
