U.S. Navy opens RIMPAC 2026 as 30 nations begin 30th edition of world’s largest maritime exercise near Hawaii
The exercise runs through July 31 in and around the Hawaiian Islands. Thirty nations, more than 30 surface ships, five submarines, 15 national land forces, more than 206 aircraft and 30,000 personnel will take part. RIMPAC provides a training opportunity while supporting cooperative relationships among participating nations. The U.S. Navy said those relationships are critical to ensuring the security of sea lanes and stability across the region.…
