Mitzar Castillejos was seriously injured on December 12 as he was leaving his home to go to Radio Latín Plus, where he worked, in the Ucayali region.
A journalist was shot dead by a group of armed men in Peru, who later succumbed to his injuries in hospital, the Peruvian Journalists' Association (ANP) said, in what is the fourth such incident in a year.
