WFMZLIMA (AP) — Peruvian journalist Mitzar Castillejos Tenazoa died Friday after spending 14 days in the hospital following an armed attack in the Amazonian region of Ucayali, health authorities, unions and local media reported.

Mitzar Castillejos was seriously injured on December 12 as he was leaving his home to go to Radio Latín Plus, where he worked, in the Ucayali region.
A journalist was shot dead by a group of armed men in Peru, who later succumbed to his injuries in hospital, the Peruvian Journalists' Association (ANP) said, in what is the fourth such incident in a year.
