Her family and sister shared tributes after the Australian-American model died at 34, months after becoming a first-time mother.
Australian-American model and swimwear entrepreneur Sahara Ray died on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at age 34, with her family confirming the news on Monday.
Reports suggest Ray suffered a fentanyl overdose on Friday, October 16, and was on life support until Sunday, though family members have not officially confirmed the cause of death.
The late model, who launched Sahara Ray Swim in 2014, became a first-time mother to daughter Snow in January 2026 and shared photos of the infant in July with caption 'My whole heart > baby Snow.'
Sister Ruby shared a tribute on Tuesday, describing Ray as 'the most vivacious, intelligent, hilarious, kind, empathetic and breathtakingly beautiful soul,' while mother Gretchen Bach told The Daily Mail Sahara was 'incredibly passionate and kind.'
Although Ray publicly discussed a 2024 Guillain-Barré syndrome diagnosis that left her partially paralyzed after a car crash, there is currently no evidence establishing that the condition caused or contributed to her death.
Model Sahara Ray reportedly died from a fentanyl overdose. According to the Daily Mail, the Australian model was transported to a hospital in Los Angeles, where she was kept alive with the help of appliances until her family decided otherwise.
A very popular Australian mannequin on social media, Sahara Ray had also known his hour of glory because of his relationship with Justin Bieber. Becoming a mother last January, the top died on October 19 in Los Angeles, just 34 years old.
