Perrigo to shed rare disease affiliate in $294M deal

Perrigo Co. plc plans to sell a business unit that produces products for people with rare diseases and use the proceeds to pay down debt.  The company this morning announced a binding offer from Spanish pharmaceutical company Esteve Healthcare S.L. to buy HRA Pharma Rare Diseases for up to 275 million euros, or $293.9 million.
