Peoria firefighters give out backpacks filled with school supplies to children in need

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- More than 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies were given to Peoria area students Thursday as part of the Peoria Fire Department's "Fill the Fire Truck" campaign. The third annual event was held at Trewyn Park, which coincided with a "Streets Belong to Me" event. Needless to say, it was a busy time at the park.
