Czechs are returning to the shops after several leaner years. However, the composition of what they spend is changing compared to before. The largest increase in spending is on non-food goods, while Czechs are spending less on food or visits to restaurants than before. This is shown by current data from the Czech Statistical Office and analyses by economists, according to which this is a sign of a gradual recovery in consumption.
