Willimantic police investigating ‘incident' on Church Street

Willimantic police are investigating an incident on Church Street, the department said on Facebook. The Connecticut State Police’s Eastern District Major Crimes unit is also at the scene. Officers said the situation “appears to be isolated” and that there is no danger to the public. Police ask drivers to avoid the immediate area while investigators remain at the scene. Willimantic officials have not released additional information at this time.
